Misogynist douchebaggery

Apparently, it only takes feminist rage for me to get off my ass and write something for our org’s website. From FilipinoFreethinkers.org — National misogynist hero:

An undisputed national hero and distinguished gentleman representative from Sarangani, Manny Pacquiao was staunchly against the RH Bill. He quoted the Bible, and said, in effect, that any attempts to curb reproduction was against the will of his god. While we’re not sure how the personal religious beliefs of this pregnancy-challenged man have to do with us uterus-carrying citizens, people pointed out that his wife Jinkee has admitted to being on the pill. Now he’s bragging that he made his wife Jinkee stop taking pills and have more kids.

Fun and games are over

Merry Christmas, Mayweather.

“Enough is enough,” Pacquiao said. “I have tried to just brush it off as a mere pre-fight ploy but I think they have gone overboard.

“I say to Floyd Mayweather Jr., don’t be a coward and face me in the ring, mano-a-mano and shut your big, pretty mouth, so we can show the world who is the true king of the ring.”

The Filipino superstar dared Mayweather to climb in the ring and face him at Las Vegas as planned and revealed plans to file a defamation lawsuit against the US fighter in a few days over insinuations that Pacquiao is a dope cheat.

Personally, I think Pacquiao’s thing about not wanting blood to be drawn too close to the fight is borderline superstition — seriously how much blood is needed for a test? It can’t be that much to weaken you — but whatever his reasons, he has cause to be pissed at Mayweather’s behavior, which is clearly aimed at messing with Pacquiao’s head. Probably because Mayweather isn’t confident enough about his chances, and so decided to stoop to such low tricks.

I expected a lot of trash talk from the Mayweather camp. In fact I looked forward to it, as I childishly enjoy such things. After all, boxing is a beautiful sport, but in some level, it’s just two guys trying to give each other brain damage. It’s important to have a sense of humor about it. And Mayweather just isn’t being funny.
