We were so excited seeing all the industrial food-making equipment people thought we were restauranteurs or something. Nah, just cooking geeks. Which was why we came to the World Food Expo at the World Trade Center (it was held in two venues, actually, the second being the SMEX convention center, but we didn’t have time to drop by there yet).
There was an ambulance on standby outside in front of the building. Which made total sense to me, as this was an Extreme Food Adventure, and not for the faint of heart. I approve.

Check out the ginormous mixers. I don’t want a Kitchen Aid, I want THIS. Imagine being able to make 6 dozen cookies at a time.
Of course you’re gonna have to bake those 6 dozen cookies someplace, hence the industrial-sized oven. I tried to fondle this one discretely so the people manning the booth wouldn’t kick me out for perving on their equipment.
We had fun looking at all the machines there, even when we had no idea what they were.
The people running the Banaple booth forgot to lock up the display cases. We were tempted to steal a cake. (But we didn’t.)

I’ll blog some more about this after we go back (we’re totally going back). WoFEx 2011 runs from August 3-6 at the World Trade Center and SMX Convention Center.
